In the deepfake, the commander purportedly claimed that their Saudi allies had betrayed them and issued a direct order for troops to retreat from the port of Mocha. Believing the order to be authentic, many soldiers packed their belongings and vacated the area.

In reality, the commander was not present at the port and did not issue the command. Reports indicate the commander was located in Aden at the time, where they were actively planning strategies to retake lost territories and potentially fortifying defenses.
