Embed widget terms.

Short version: embed the widget anywhere; keep the attribution visible; don't use it to mislead.

1. License

We grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to embed the widget on sites and applications you control, subject to these terms. You do not need to register or ask permission.

2. Attribution (required)

The widget displays two attribution elements inside its iframe:

  • The detectdeepfakes.com wordmark (link to detectdeepfakes.com, dofollow)
  • The "Powered by Resemble AI" line (link to resemble.ai/detect)

These must remain visible and unmodified. They are rendered inside the iframe, which your page cannot alter via CSS. Attempting to hide, obscure, replace, or rewrap the iframe with overlays triggers a soft block — the widget will display a "please update your embed" card instead of a result. Repeated violations trigger a hard block.

3. Rate limits

  • 100 free detection checks per day per publisher domain.
  • Above that, sign up for a free publisher account at embed@resemble.ai for higher quotas and basic analytics.
  • We reserve the right to rate-limit or block abuse (wrappers, automated drains, proxy farms).

4. Content restrictions

The widget may not be embedded on:

  • Sites that host or distribute non-consensual intimate imagery, CSAM, or harassment campaigns.
  • Sites whose primary function is to help users evade deepfake detection ("undetectable" generators, watermark removers, etc.).
  • Sites that misrepresent the widget's verdict — e.g., claiming a manual badge of approval where no check was run.

We monitor for violations and issue hard blocks at our sole discretion.

5. Privacy

Uploads from the widget travel direct-to-edge — they do not pass through the embedding site's infrastructure. Files are processed in memory and deleted within 10 minutes. We set no cookies in the iframe. Analytics is aggregated server-side by referrer domain.

6. No warranty

The widget is provided "as is." Detection is probabilistic; no detector is 100%. Do not rely on a single widget verdict for legal, financial, or life-safety decisions.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version with a changelog and date at the top of this page. Continued embedding after changes constitutes acceptance.
