What happened

The video replaces the original character K, played by Ryan Gosling, with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. In the parody, the holographic advertisement tells the health secretary that he looks hungry and suggests that real food can fix that. The ad then displays a graphic of an inverted food pyramid that prioritizes protein, dairy, healthy fats, fruits, and vegetables over whole grains. This initiative is part of the same campaign previously promoted by an AI video showing Kennedy wrestling a man in a Twinkie costume.

The content faced significant backlash from X/Twitter users. Infectious diseases doctor Neil Stone labeled the advertisement as weird. Other commentators criticized the use of the Blade Runner imagery, noting that the original scene was intended to depict corporate fraud and the selling of empty promises. Additionally, the official X account for the Democrats mocked the campaign by referencing ongoing salmonella and cyclospora outbreaks in the United States, specifically noting the inclusion of lettuce and eggs in the food pyramid.
