The image, which circulated on X, suggested that the entertainer was standing trial, leading to widespread speculation and online commentary.

What happened

The image was debunked by FactCheckHub, which traced the original photograph of Poco Lee to an Instagram post he shared on August 13, 2026. In the authentic photo, the entertainer is seen standing outdoors near a waterfront, wearing the same red Gucci t-shirt, cap, and sunglasses. The perpetrators used digital extraction to remove him from his original environment and composite him into a simulated courtroom setting.

Forensic analysis conducted via Hive Moderation indicated a 74.7% likelihood that the image was deepfake or digitally manipulated. Further examination revealed classic indicators of AI-generated content, including distorted facial features on background figures, irregular judicial emblems, and unnatural lighting patterns.

Beyond the technical manipulation, the claim is legally impossible under existing UK regulations.
