A viral video circulating on social media falsely depicted Bollywood actor Salman Khan addressing his fans and making specific remarks regarding his sister. The clip featured a digital likeness of the actor urging viewers to follow and share the content as a sign of respect.

What happened

NewsMobile investigated the footage after it gained traction online, where the actor appeared to say, “My sister is dark, right? Not this time, stop making up stories about my sister. Those who respect my sister should follow and share.” The investigation confirmed that the video was entirely AI-generated and digitally manipulated.

Researchers conducted a reverse image search of keyframes and performed keyword searches, finding no credible evidence, official social media posts, or authentic media reports to support the claims made in the video. Salman Khan had not shared the clip on any of his verified social media accounts.

A frame-by-frame technical analysis revealed multiple indicators of synthetic manipulation, including unnatural facial features, inaccurate lip-syncing, distorted body movements, and inconsistent body proportions. Additionally, the footage exhibited irregular lighting and shadows, while the background appeared unusually smooth, lacking the depth and texture expected in authentic video. To confirm these findings, the video was processed through Hive Moderation, an AI detection tool, which flagged the footage as AI-generated with a high probability. The investigation concluded that the video was a fabricated attempt to manipulate fans into sharing content under false pretenses.
