A video purporting to be an investigation by Ukrainian journalists has been circulating, alleging the falsification of reports by Ukrainian servicemembers regarding drone strikes. The video claims Ukrainian soldiers upload fake, outdated, or AI-generated videos of successful strikes into the Delta battlefield management system to manipulate enemy casualty statistics and profit from the war. This claim is false and part of a broader Kremlin campaign.

What happened

The video, spread via Russian Telegram channels and bot accounts on X, lacks any identifiable authors, editorial team, media logo, or evidence to support its allegations. Analysis of the audio track indicated a 99.3% probability that the narrator's voice was AI-generated. The video combines authentic footage with clips from Brave1 Market, an online platform for Ukrainian military units to procure equipment. The propaganda also references a non-existent "StrikkeVidMarket" platform for stock and AI-generated combat footage; no such active website exists. The campaign aims to discredit Ukraine’s digital military tools, including the Delta system and eBaly bonus system, and erode trust in its defense procurement system.
