A dispute has arisen regarding the authenticity of a video showing an MLA expressing support for a particular political party. The opposing party has alleged that the video was fabricated using AI technology.
What happened
AMMK general secretary T T V Dhinakaran questioned the authenticity of a video released by TVK showing MLA S Kamaraj extending support for govt formation. Dhinakaran alleged that the video and a related support letter were fabricated. He referred to the footage as "AI-generated" and accused Vijay's party of forgery. TVK sources, however, claimed that the MLA voluntarily agreed to support the party and remained in constant touch with members of the strategist team before submitting the letter.
