Hybe artists (specifically, likely BTS) deepfake (Apr 2025)

Multiple arrests have been made in South Korea related to the creation and distribution of sexually explicit AI deepfakes of Hybe artists. Hybe cooperated with the police by providing information to identify suspects. Eight individuals were arrested for Hybe-related deepfakes, six of whom were taken into custody. A total of 23 people were involved, with 13 taken into custody overall. Ador indicated that a suspect accused of making and distributing “false videos exploiting artists” had already been “indicted and referred to the prosecution while in custody
