Relatives of Christopher Pelkey created an AI-generated video of him to appear as if he was addressing the court during the sentencing hearing of Gabriel Horcasitas, who was convicted of manslaughter in Pelkey's death. The video used a script written by Pelkey's sister, an image of his face, and a voice to mimic his. The defense attorney is appealing the sentence, arguing that the use of the AI video was inappropriate.
