Dancehall artist Spice and rapper Drake met in person for the first time at the release party for Drake’s FOMO project, weeks after a fabricated image of the pair went viral. The meeting, which Spice documented on Instagram, served as a real-life conclusion to a digital narrative that had captured the attention of both artists and their fans.

What happened

In July, an AI-generated image circulated online showing Drake and Spice wearing matching silver outfits while sharing dessert at an upscale restaurant with the Eiffel Tower in the background. The image was entirely fictional, yet it prompted a public interaction between the two stars. Drake commented on the image stating he would have been willing to make the encounter a reality, to which Spice replied by asking for his location.

The subsequent real-life meeting occurred at the premiere event for Drake’s hour-long visual project, FOMO. The project featured nine new songs and various celebrity cameos, including Kevin Durant and Sexyy Red. During the event, Spice and Drake were filmed embracing, and Spice later commented enthusiastically about the encounter on social media. Drake used the FOMO release event to announce his plans for a world tour scheduled for 2027.
