- Incident date
- May 2026
- Target

AI-generated videos featuring real doctors have surfaced on YouTube. Unlike typical deepfakes used for shilling products, these videos feature real doctors and appear to provide standard health information, possibly for ad revenue generation.
What happened
One user on Reddit highlighted the YouTube channel of "Dr Adrian Laurence" as an example. The user noted the high volume of posts in a short period, unnatural speech patterns, strange depth of field, deliberate blinking patterns, and odd neck and head movements as reasons for suspecting AI involvement. The user also pointed to another doctor's channel, "Dr Alex Wibberly", which was previously questioned and has since had its social media channels taken down.
