Users on social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube deepfake (Dec 2025)

The Nomani investment scam uses AI-generated video testimonials of popular personalities to deceive users into investing in non-existent products. The deepfakes are becoming more realistic with higher resolution, reduced unnatural movements, and improved A/V sync. Victims are lured with promises of significant returns, but when they request payouts, they are asked to pay more fees or provide personal information. The scammers also use Europol- and INTERPOL-related lures to scam victims again, promising assistance with recovering stolen funds.
