Louisiana State Police arrested Ryan Glaser (40) and Gregory Duncan Jr. (24) for creating and distributing deepfake pornography. The investigation began in July 2023 after a routine cell phone check on Glaser, a convicted sex offender, revealed child sex abuse material. Duncan is accused of creating and distributing the deepfake material. A new Louisiana law makes creating or distributing non-consensual pornographic deepfakes illegal, carrying a minimum 10-year prison sentence.
