An indie band, The Velvet Sundown, gained popularity on Spotify, leading to speculation about whether their music and promotional images are AI-generated. Music producer Rick Beato identified artifacts in their tracks, suggesting AI creation. The band has denied being AI generated but Deezer has reported that 100% of their tracks were created using AI. There are also claims of unauthorized interviews and fake profiles impersonating the band.
