The Westbrook Police Department in Maine posted an image of a narcotics seizure to Facebook that appeared to be enhanced by AI. The image was quickly identified as AI-manipulated due to visual artifacts. The department admitted an officer used an AI app to add a department patch, which inadvertently mutated the entire image.
