Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee, who passed away in 2018, is being brought back via AI. ElevenLabs has signed a deal with Stan Lee Universe owners Genius Brands International and POW! Entertainment to add Lee’s likeness to the ElevenLabs Iconic Marketplace.
What happened
The Iconic Marketplace is a collection of voice and video likenesses from celebrities for companies to officially license in their products. ElevenLabs will also launch a series called Stan Lee Book Club of the Month which will use Lee’s voice to narrate a different book every month. The company’s AI music generator will also get two music filters inspired by Lee. A video narrated by an AI replica of Lee’s voice has been released.
