A viral video circulating on social media falsely depicted Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan welcoming a newborn baby girl. The clip showed the actress in a hospital bed holding an infant while her husband announced the birth, leading to widespread public confusion.

What happened

NewsMobile investigated the footage and confirmed it was digitally fabricated. The investigation included a reverse image search of keyframes and keyword searches, which yielded no credible reports or official announcements from the couple or reputable media outlets. Neither actor had shared such content on their verified social media accounts.

A technical examination of the video revealed multiple indicators of AI manipulation. Analysts identified unnatural facial features, inaccurate lip-syncing, distorted body movements, and inconsistent body proportions. Additionally, the footage exhibited irregular lighting and shadows, while the background appeared unusually smooth and lacked the depth characteristic of authentic video. To confirm these findings, the footage was processed through Hive Moderation, an AI detection tool, which flagged the content as AI-generated with a high probability. The investigation concluded that the entire scene was a digital fabrication.
