Catering platform Forkable replaced restaurant photos with AI-generated images without warning, leading to customer and restaurant owner dissatisfaction. The AI-generated images were described as 'uncanny valley' and 'creepy', with one customer describing it as potentially running afoul of false advertising. The company has reverted back to traditional photography in response to criticism.
