Jodie deepfake (Jan 2025)

Jodie received an anonymous email with links to a pornographic website containing hundreds of her photos and comments. The poster solicited others to create sexually explicit deepfakes using her images from her private Instagram. Hundreds of synthetic images and videos depicting her in non-consensual sexual situations were created and shared online. This is part of a growing trend of synthetic, sexually explicit content being traded online. The UK government is cracking down on this, but soliciting deepfakes isn't currently illegal.
