What happened
Benoit Cransac, 49, faces a 102-count indictment. The charges include five counts of child sexual abuse material under the age of 13, twenty counts of child sexual abuse material under the age of 17, seventeen counts of video voyeurism of a child under the age of 17, and sixty counts of unlawful deepfakes of minors. Prosecutors allege Cransac took photos of young female students and used AI to superimpose those photos onto the bodies of naked women. Cransac is currently held without bond.
