On September 15, 2026, the Religious Zionist Party (RZP) published an AI-generated campaign video depicting the forced arrests of Supreme Court President Isaac Amit, Supreme Court Justice Daphne Barak-Erez, and Attorney-General Gali Baharav-Miara. The release of this content coincides with the party's platform for a new judicial reform plan ahead of the upcoming election.

What happened

The campaign video utilizes AI generation to portray the three judicial officials being dragged away by security personnel. The scene is set against a background reminiscent of the widespread protests that occurred in 2023, featuring elements such as fire, Israeli flags, and signs reading “democracy.” The video begins with Isaac Amit holding a sign that reads “No Smotrich!!!,” a prop later held by Gali Baharav-Miara as well.

The video was released as part of the RZP's broader political strategy under Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, which focuses on implementing judicial reforms if the party remains in the next government. These proposed reforms include splitting the duties of the attorney-general, changing the method for selecting judges, and expanding the authority of cabinet ministers to directly appoint senior officials.

The video faced immediate backlash from political opponents. Gadi Eisenkot, a prime ministerial candidate, condemned the footage as disgraceful and violent, accusing Smotrich of attempting to drag Israeli society into an abyss. Yair Golan, chairman of the Democrats, labeled the video as dangerous incitement and a call to shed blood, stating that marking judicial figures as enemies is a continuation of internal societal divisions.
