A deepfake video circulated on social media depicted George Freeman, a Tory MP, announcing he had joined Reform UK. Freeman reported the video to the police, denouncing it as an AI-generated deepfake using his image and voice without permission. He clarified that he remains a Conservative MP and has no intention of joining Reform or any other party. The video showed Freeman appearing to say the Conservative party had lost its way and that the time for half measures was over.
