Children deepfake (Feb 2025)

Two men in Louisiana were arrested for creating and distributing deepfake child pornography. Ryan Glaser (40) and Gregory Duncan Jr. (24) were arrested on charges related to possession and distribution of unlawful deepfakes. Glaser, a convicted sex offender, was found with the material during a parole visit. Duncan was identified as the creator and distributor. The investigation involved multiple agencies and was based on Louisiana law 73.13, which criminalizes deepfakes depicting minors in sexual situations. At least 37 states have similar laws.
