A deepfake video of Stormont politician Cara Hunter was created and widely circulated on WhatsApp and social media before the 2022 Stormont elections. The video superimposed her face onto another person's body in a pornographic video. Police were unable to pursue the case due to insufficient laws and lack of resources.
