Yogi Adityanath and Kangana Ranaut deepfake (Mar 2025)

A video showing Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut hugging is viral. A reverse image search on keyframes revealed the same image in a post by Yogi Adityanath's office on October 1, 2021, showing them posing for a photograph during Ranaut's visit to the CM's residence in Lucknow. An Aaj Tak news report from October 2, 2021, also showed them together, without any altered visuals of a hug. Conclusion: The viral video of Ranaut hugging Adityanath is altered.
