Scammers are using AI-generated avatars to apply for jobs and infiltrate companies. At Vidoc Security Lab, the CTO suspected a candidate was a deepfake during an interview. The Justice Department reported that over 300 U.S. companies unknowingly hired deepfakes from North Korea for remote IT jobs, who then stole information or locked companies out for ransom.
