Victims in India, Donald Trump's reputation deepfake (May 2025)

Cybercriminals used deepfake videos of Donald Trump to promote a fake investment scheme called "Trump Hotel Rentals" via YouTube and other social media platforms. The videos directed viewers to a fraudulent mobile app that claimed to offer high-yield returns from property rentals. Victims were lured in with small initial gains before being encouraged to invest larger sums, ultimately losing their money.
