A 28-year-old man from Kent has pleaded guilty to creating sexually explicit deepfakes of a child and adult women without their consent. Harry Geddes, of Silver Streak Way in Strood, admitted to the charges at Medway Magistrates' Court, which also included possessing indecent images of a child and breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO).

What happened

On March 23, monitoring software installed on Geddes' mobile phone—a requirement of his existing SHPO—alerted police that he had viewed explicit content involving individuals appearing to be underage. A subsequent investigation by the North Kent management of sexual offenders team revealed that Geddes had utilized an AI platform to generate sexually explicit images by manipulating photos of a child and adult women sourced from social media.

Further investigation uncovered that Geddes had breached his SHPO by creating multiple aliases and using websites designed to evade internet activity recording. Following his arrest on June 10 and subsequent charges on June 11, law enforcement highlighted the severity of these actions. Det Sgt Fleur Hardie of Kent Police emphasized that the use of AI to generate non-consensual intimate imagery is a criminal offense that causes significant distress to victims. This case follows the introduction of legislation in February 2026, which made the creation of AI-generated sexual images of real people without consent illegal. Geddes remains in custody and is awaiting a future appearance at Maidstone Crown Court.
