The Rolling Stones have released a video for ‘In The Stars,’ employing deepfake AI to digitally recreate younger versions of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood. The video precedes the release of their new album, Foreign Tongues.

What happened

The ‘In The Stars’ video uses AI to de-age the band members to resemble their 1970s selves. Directed by François Rousselet and produced by Deep Voodoo, the video stars actress Odessa A’zion alongside the AI-generated Stones. The video places the de-aged band in a warehouse party setting, blending live-action footage with synthetic visual effects reminiscent of the Tattoo You era. Production credits mention body doubles, deepfake artists, and an "AI data wrangler," highlighting the hybrid process used to create the visual effects. Deep Voodoo previously worked on Kendrick Lamar’s ‘The Heart Part 5’ and Billy Joel’s ‘Turn The Lights Back On’.
