Students at a Pennsylvania school deepfake (Jan 2025)

AI-generated nude images and videos of approximately 60 students were created and distributed by two teenage boys. The images were created using readily available AI tools and sourced from social media. The boys were charged with multiple offenses, including sexual abuse of children and possession of child pornography. The incident caused significant distress among victims, leading to school avoidance, eating disorders, and the need for counseling. The school's top leadership stepped aside after parents filed a lawsuit.
