During the annual May 9th Victory Day parade in Moscow, an embarrassing incident occurred when AI-generated footage displayed Russian fighter jets with NATO and EU flags. The error disrupted what was intended to be a showcase of Russian aerial prowess.
What happened
During the flyover by the Russian Knights and Swifts aerobatic teams, state media transitioned from live cameras to a digitally rendered sequence to provide viewers with an immersive perspective. However, the digital Su-30 aircraft were marked with the flags of France, Germany, Poland, Canada, Norway, Finland, United Kingdom, Italia, and Belgium, instead of the traditional Russian symbols. The AI sequence was abruptly cut, returning to live footage.
