Two employees of Rubin's Deli in Elyria, Ohio, created a false report of a robbery using an AI-generated image created with ChatGPT. One employee created the image and sent it to the other, who then sent the image to the owner of the deli, making them believe that the store was actively being robbed. The owner then contacted the Elyria Police Department, leading to a large police response. The AI-generated image was designed to look like a camera system feed showing masked subjects robbing the store.
