Ronnie Flint deepfake (Aug 2025)

An Ohio resident, Ronnie Flint, was scammed by a deepfake video that he believed featured country singer Jelly Roll. Flint received a message claiming he won a new car from Jelly Roll but needed to pay for shipping. To further convince Flint, the scammers used AI to create a second video where the fake Jelly Roll said Flint's full name. They also sent a picture of a fake driver's license with the name Jolly Roll. Flint sent the scammers a $70 Apple gift card before his family intervened.
