What happened
Nadal and his team detected multiple fake videos across various platforms that utilized artificial intelligence to mimic his appearance and vocal patterns. These deepfakes were specifically engineered to attribute false investment advice to the former grand slam champion. In his statement, Nadal emphasized the growing societal challenge of distinguishing between authentic content and AI-manipulated material. While acknowledging that artificial intelligence holds potential for progress in fields like medicine and education, he warned of the risks posed by its misuse for deception.
