- Porsche
The Unreal Engine X account, promoting the addition of the Cayenne Turbo Electric to Fortnite, posted an image that was quickly identified as likely AI-generated.
What happened
The image, which featured the Porsche vehicle, was taken down after users pointed out anomalies characteristic of AI-generated content. Specifically, the Porsche logo was distorted. Stranger still, the image also included the logo of Riot Games, the company behind League of Legends. The Unreal Engine X account reuploaded the image, clarifying that it was a concept image provided by Porsche and not representative of the final product. The incident suggests that someone at Porsche, or one of its vendors, created the image using AI, and it made its way through internal channels before being posted publicly.
