Popular Indian gaming creator Payal Gaming recently opened up about the severe emotional and professional toll of a deepfake incident that targeted her identity. During an appearance on the reality competition series The Alliance in June 2026, she shared how the spread of manipulated content deeply affected her mental well-being and public image.

What happened

The controversy began in 2025 when an intimate video began circulating on social media platforms. Users falsely claimed the woman in the footage was Payal Gaming, despite the lack of evidence. The malicious spread of the video led to significant public humiliation and harassment for the creator.

Following the incident, the Maharashtra State Cyber Department conducted a formal forensic investigation. Their findings confirmed that the video was a product of artificial intelligence manipulation rather than an authentic recording of the creator. This investigation officially cleared Payal of the false allegations. Addressing the severity of the digital abuse, Payal confirmed that she took legal action against the perpetrators, stating that the individuals responsible for creating and distributing the deepfake are currently behind bars. Her experience serves as a stark example of the potential for AI technology to be weaponized against public figures, highlighting the critical need for digital safety and accountability.
