A Reddit user shared their experience of being scammed after connecting with someone on Tinder. The scammer threatened to leak sensitive images to the victim's family and friends.

What happened

The victim expressed a sense of resignation, acknowledging the rise of deepfake and AI technology makes it difficult to distinguish between what is real and fake. A commenter noted that after blocking the scammer, the scammer sent the video to the victim's friends and spammed it in their post's comment section. The commenter expressed frustration that Meta did not find any violation when they reported the accounts used to spread the videos.
