A 17-year-old was arrested in April 2026 and charged with allegedly creating and distributing non-consensual deepfake nudes. Some of the victims were students at Montgomery High School.

What happened

The defendant, a senior at MHS, was investigated after police found deepfake photos of teenage girls posted on an app called Discord. The images included altered photos taken at a Sweet Sixteen party and at a beach. The investigation was led by the NJ State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. A letter from the Somerset County Prosecutor was sent to the victims’ parents inviting them to a court hearing.
