A coordinated network of fake, AI-generated "rabbi" accounts has been discovered disseminating antisemitic tropes on YouTube. These accounts use fabricated personas to erode trust, spread hate, and incite violence against Jewish people.

What happened

The Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) uncovered 63 YouTube channels featuring these AI-generated "rabbis". Collectively, the channels have gained over 526,000 subscribers, produced more than 3,300 videos, and generated more than 30.7 million views. Analysis revealed common narrative arcs, visual templates, and linguistic patterns across the accounts. The ARC recommends that YouTube invest in AI detection tools to identify synthetic religious impersonation, ensure recommendation systems do not promote these channels, demonetize the channels, and share intelligence with other platforms.
