Attackers inject AI-generated deepfakes directly into iOS video calls by connecting a compromised, jailbroken iPhone to a remote server, bypassing its physical camera, and injecting synthetic video streams into active calls. The deepfakes use face swaps and motion re-enactments to transform stolen images or static photos into lifelike video, impersonating legitimate users or creating fabricated identities.
