Real estate agents are using AI-generated images in property listings to make houses appear more appealing than they are. This includes cleaning up walls, improving paint, and enhancing windows in images. AI is also used to virtually stage homes, create nonsensical or misleading features, and distort the perception of size. This results in properties looking significantly better in the AI images than in reality. One example is a listing in Detroit where the AI image vastly differed from the actual house. Another example is a New York City apartment listing where the bedroom appeared far larger than it was due to AI manipulation.
