The viral clip was debunked after investigations revealed significant visual anomalies, including misspelled text on team jerseys and instances where uniforms appeared to be worn upside down. To verify the footage, investigators utilized specialized detection tools; SiteEngine analysis determined the video was 98% AI-generated, while the audio was flagged as 76% AI-generated or tampered with by the platform Hiya. Sports editors confirmed that no such altercation took place during the match, which resulted in an Indian victory.
