The metalcore “band” Broken Avenue, with nearly 130,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, is suspected of being AI-generated, mimicking styles of Counterparts, Knocked Loose, and the Devil Wears Prada. The band's songs and artwork are suspected to be AI generated. All songs were uploaded in the past six weeks and credit “James Tolby” as composer and lyricist. Counterparts' singer Brendan Murphy has called out the suspicious act on X, seeking contact information for James Trolby.
