Brooke Curry deepfake (Apr 2025)

A student from Fletcher High School created a fake pornographic image of Brooke Curry, daughter of former Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry, using an AI generator and a photo from her Instagram account. The deepfake was circulated online, causing Brooke embarrassment and distress. She struggled to get it removed. This incident led to the introduction of 'Brooke's Law' in Florida, aimed at protecting Floridians from deepfake incidents and requiring platforms to remove such depictions upon the victim's request.
