British taxpayers and migrants deepfake (Jul 2025)

A TikTok channel called 'migrantvlog' posted 22 AI-generated videos between June 9 and June 13. The videos depict a migrant's journey on a small boat and their reception in the UK, showing them receiving free food, accommodation, and phones. The videos contain hallmarks of AI generation, including watermarks for Veo, an AI video generation tool, and unnatural movements of people and objects. The aim seems to be to negatively portray migrants and the UK's support for them.
