The post, shared by Hon. Nwafor Richard Nwali, suggested the incident reflected widespread public frustration and hardship, garnering hundreds of reposts and likes.

What happened

The FactCheckHub investigated the footage following its viral spread on September 25, 2026. Using AI detection tools, including Hive Detect and ZeroGPT, investigators determined the media was highly likely to be synthetic. Hive Detect classified the video as 99.9 percent likely to be AI-generated, identifying several generative models as potential sources.

Beyond the technical analysis, researchers noted visual inconsistencies within the footage that suggested it was not genuine.
