What happened
The video began by repeating conspiracy theories about voting machines, then cut to showing the Obamas' heads superimposed onto the bodies of apes dancing to the soundtrack of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” Obama responded nearly three months later, stating that while he doesn't take it personally, he is offended when his family is dragged into such things, as they didn't choose public life. He characterized the video as part of a broader pattern of divisive content, but stated that the majority of the American people find this behavior deeply troubling.
