Amazon's Prime Video rolled out a beta program using generative AI to create English and Latin American language dubs of anime series, including Banana Fish and No Game No Life Zero. The AI-generated dubs were poorly received by fans due to their low quality, lack of emotion, and instances of Japanese voiceovers randomly appearing. The initiative replaces existing human-created dubs in some cases. The main problems identified are: awful quality, intonation and pacing issues, lack of emotion, random Japanese voiceover.
