A viral image circulating on social media falsely claimed to show a legal bond signed by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke. The document purported to state that Dipke had agreed to keep the peace for one year or until the completion of a pending inquiry before the Executive Magistrate of New Delhi District.

What happened

The fabricated image was shared as a reply to a tweet from Dipke, in which he explicitly stated that he had not signed any bond agreeing to refrain from protesting. Fact-checkers investigated the image and determined it was AI-generated through several verification methods.

Upon close inspection, the official seal of the Executive Magistrate contained a significant spelling error, reading 'Saspameva Jayate' instead of the correct 'Satyameva Jayate.' Further technical analysis confirmed the artificial nature of the document. The image was processed through the Sightengine AI detector, which indicated a high probability that the content was AI-generated. Additionally, the SynthID Detector identified a watermark, concluding that the image was created or edited using OpenAI tools. No official reports or records of such a bond were found during keyword and reverse image searches, confirming the document was a fabrication.
