On July 12, 2026, an Iranian regime-backed propaganda outlet known as Explosive Media published AI-generated Lego videos depicting the death of US Senator Lindsey Graham and threatening various pro-Israel activists. The content, which originated on the channel's Telegram page after being removed from X, utilized synthetic imagery to propagate political disinformation and direct intimidation.

What happened

The propaganda campaign featured a video showing a Lego-style animation of Senator Graham suffering a fatal heart attack after encountering a shadowy figure in his home. Following the depiction of his death, the video showed a medic marking the name "Lindsey" off a checklist, with the name "Laura" appearing next on the list. This prompted American activist Laura Loomer to interpret the content as a direct death threat against her, a sentiment she linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Loomer further noted that the channel released an additional video titled "Bullseye Loomer" to reinforce these threats. The operator of the channel, who identifies as "Mr. Explosive," has previously confirmed to the BBC that the Iranian regime is a client of the outlet. Beyond the content targeting Graham and Loomer, the channel expanded its campaign on July 13, 2026, by creating Lego-themed representations of other prominent figures, including Mark Levin, Miriam Adelson, Randy Fine, and Ben Shapiro, as part of their ongoing influence operations. While the channel maintains a presence on Telegram, YouTube previously banned the outlet in April following its involvement in distributing propaganda related to a strike on a school in Minab.
